About Course

The NPORS N403 Vehicle Marshal course is designed to educate individuals in safely guiding vehicles and assisting drivers on construction sites, warehouses, and other workplace environments where vehicle movements are common. Vehicle marshals, also known as banksman or traffic marshals, play a critical role in preventing accidents and ensuring the smooth flow of traffic on site. The course covers a comprehensive range of topics, including theoretical instruction on health and safety regulations, site-specific hazards, and the responsibilities of a vehicle marshal. Participants learn about vehicle movement principles, including safe maneuvering techniques and blind spot awareness, to effectively guide vehicles and prevent collisions. Practical training forms a significant part of the course, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience in directing vehicles, using appropriate hand signals, and communicating effectively with drivers. They learn how to coordinate vehicle movements with other workers and equipment on site, anticipate and respond to potential hazards, and maintain a safe working environment. By the end of the course, participants are assessed for their competence in vehicle marshaling duties, and upon successful completion, they receive NPORS certification, widely recognized within the industry as evidence of their skills and qualifications.
